The FCA Quality Organization is currently seeking a Receiving Inspection Unit Leader at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Receiving Inspection Unit Leader is the point of contact for all supplier part quality issues and manages receiving inspection / incoming quality activities within the assembly plant.

The specific job responsibilities will be:

  • Utilize data to drive issues to closure utilizing World Cass Manufacturing methodologies 
  • Establish online clean points through fast response and sorting of material 
  • Coordination with Supplier Quality for 3CPR / sort activities 
  • Ensure compliance to corporate standards
  • Supervise/lead hourly receiving inspectors 
  • Assist in root cause, containment and corrective actions for all quality related issues in the manufacturing facility
  • Develop training/development plans for new, re-assigned and existing personnel
  • Manage time sheets and payroll for bargaining unit employees
  • Train and coach (hands-on) salary and bargaining unit employees on world class manufacturing methodologies
  • Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Display effective communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership 
  • Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumer
  • Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams
  • Drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to analyze and translate data into visual charts/graphs etc. for reporting purposes
  • Demonstrated use of problem solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 
  • Two (2) years quality experience
  • Supervisory experience
