The Process Improvement Manager (PIM) is responsible for leading change management in the plant from an operations perspective. The PIM is the link between maintenance, quality, and production with a focus on OLE/FTQ. Primary oversight will include an overall leadership role in the collection of data,analysis, proposing action, developing a plan, and then organizing support and resources needed to execute the plan. The PIM will work closely with all levels of leadership across the plant and must have a strong understanding of the basic WCM concepts with a focus on autonomous maintenance, professional maintenance, quality control, and workplace organization. Some responsibilities will include design review authorization for new equipment, equipment relocation, new processes, and process changes. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate how they have affectively lead cross-functional teams in daily activities, problem solving, root cause analyses and maintaining or improving quality andthroughput. This position will have direct reports with responsibility for management of the Product /Process Specialist(s) activities. This role will also have responsibility for implementation and management for F Matrix projects (propose project, follow up and facilitate implementation).

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Supervisory production/maintenance experience in manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to work with all levels of leadership and utilize data to influence senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor employee team members
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
  • Previous experience working in a union environment
  • Strong background in LEAN manufacturing
  • Powertrain/assembly/stamping experience
Preferred Qualifcations:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field preferred
  • Advanced Degree is an asset
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills are preferred
