The Industrial Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising plant industrial engineers and will report to the plant Industrial Engineering Manager. The person in this position will interact with management to develop hourly and salary staffing plans and lead actions to achieve productivity objectives. The selected individual will interact with production management and union leadership on a daily basis regarding all matters related to staffing requirements as well as support development of direct and indirect labor budgets with corporate industrial engineering teams. The Supervisor is responsible for indirect labor studies, ergonomics studies and manpower planning/leveling/adjustments according to assembly plants' production schedules plus World Class Manufacturing (WCM) support and new program system design reviews and optimization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 4+ years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisor/team lead experience
  • Demonstrated experience with time/motion studies
  • Experience with the development of standardized work and standard data
  • Understanding of assembly manufacturing systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of traditional Lean manufacturing systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Data collection, root cause analysis and practical problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply throughput improvement processes 
  • Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles
  • MTM-UAS or MODAPTS certification
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
