The Building and Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for the salary Maintenance Supervisor group activities, including: safety, facility P.M. activities, IQP and WSOT resolution, weekend/holiday work plans, project planning, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, large project management activities, 24 hour manager for all facilities related maintenance issues, owner of overall plant condition and appearance including management of Caravan Facilities Management, DTE and Omni Source maintenance operations, etc. This position leads plant facilities initiatives, Kaizen events and other World Class Manufacturing processes, The Building and Facilities Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team activities, utilizing World Class Manufacturing tools, and will problem solve, identify and rectify major building/facilities and production stamping equipment issues, quickly and efficiently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (related technical field preferably)
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing mechanical and or electrical maintenance environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of large stamping and sub-assembly equipment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of building and facility maintenance and operations
  • Strong multi-tasking capability and project management skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management, union leadership, and others
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Results driven in dynamic environment
  • Strong commitment to leadership and developing others' skills
  • Ability to work overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree/Journeyman Mechanical /Electrical in large press machine repair
  • Knowledge/understanding of World Class Manufacturing and ability to use WCM tools
