The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Six Sigma Black/Green Belt - Capability Analyst to join the Quality team at the Toledo Machining Plant in Perrysburg, OH. The Six Sigma Black/Green Belt - Capability Analyst is responsible for First Time Capability (FTC) and Statistical Capability (Cpk) analysis and problem resolution. This position will involve database creation, data collection, calculation and analysis of data, recording for daily, monthly and yearly onsite and corporate scorecards, and leadership of problem resolution (Kaizen) for the top issues affecting those metrics. The Analyst will also be responsible for supporting our World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives and activities, as well as presentation of Kaizen projects during WCM Audits.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prioritize and recommend resources/manpower to support plant Key Process Indicators (KPI's)
  • Display effective communication skills with all levels of management and the union to support meetings, audits, presentations, and problem resolutions
  • Collect, analyze, synthesize internal data and clearly communicate the results
  • Work closely with floor personnel, Unit Leaders, Business Unit Leaders, Engineering (Resident, Quality, Process, and Plant) to lead and support practical problem solving methods for issues arising from Basic Audit (SPC) findings, FTC related issues, functional, and destructive testing
  • Support QSA (Quality System Audits) and ISO certifications by maintaining documentation and performing internal audits for all areas of responsibilities as well as look for opportunities for improvement
  • Provide daily report outs/communication for First Time Capability (FTC) for all assembly operations and follow up on below target operations
  • Manage and monitor the First-Time Capability (FTC) for daily, monthly, and yearly performance reporting
  • Resolve all FTC and/or Cpk anomalies (fliers, missing data, etc.)
  • Create, manage, and monitor the FTC and Cp/Cpk databases
  • Plan and set goals for individual production lines in line within corporate goals
  • Responsible for monthly inputs (monthly shipping totals, total production, total rejects, etc.) in Corporate Database KPI folder
  • Collect and review basic audit data from inspection dept.
  • Participate in QC Pillar and WCM activities by leading Kaizen teams, submitting suggestions related to improving quality, reducing scrap, and improving efficiency
  • Report, monitor, and drive closure to "Top Three Cp/Cpk" findings via the RPN system and "Top Three FTC" issues 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial
  • Leadership experience with the ability to work with all levels of management and union
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and ability/skill for Executive level presentations
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Advanced degree
  • Green Belt/Black Belt certification
  • 2 years of experience
  • 2 years manufacturing experience
  • Overall knowledge and experience in quality systems
  • Problem solving techniques and methods
  • Quality systems management
  • Project leadership experience
  • Development and enforcement of corporate standards through auditing, coaching, and read across activities
  • Experience working within a manufacturing facility and management of UAW personnel
  • WCM (Lean) awareness with some experience
