Parts Distribution Center Manager Job, Nationwide

Position is located in the Mid Atlantic Area

The Parts Distribution Center Manager is responsible for all Parts Distribution Center (PDC) operational activities, hourly represented and salaried personnel, fixed assets, financial audit control, parts inventory, and customer satisfaction to nearly 300 Jeep, Dodge, Ram, FIAT and FCA US dealerships that receive daily deliveries. This fast-paced role will champion team building and use exceptional leadership skills to achieve PDC metrics and continue to support the launch of World Class Logistics.

The candidate needs to have a thorough knowledge of building operational processes, from a warehousing logistics standpoint. This candidate needs to have the ability to relate the vision of the plant and the plan to all levels of the organization. Possess the ability to communicate at multiple levels, to customers both internal and external. Have the ability to relate to and address customer needs and problems in accordance to the company business process. Interface with dealers and business centers on a daily basis and adapt to unexpected events and changing requirements.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or greater in Supply Chain or Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Labor, Communications or other related degree
  • 5 years minimum of managerial /supervisory experience in a distribution warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement systems and Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Experience managing day to day operations within a union environment
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a detailed project plan
  • Ability to develop analysis to improve on current standard processes
  • Driven to seek solutions to improved performance
  • Possess a high sense of urgency
  • Must be willing to work extended weekday hours and weekends across day/evening shifts as required
  • Must be willing to relocate

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in a unionized environment highly preferred
