The Fleet Technical Advisor is responsible for providing technical assistance to fleet and commercial customers and dealerships. The Advisor will communicate daily with fleet and commercial account personnel, dealerships, and Business Centers for assistance with technical issue diagnostics and resolutions, customer issue resolution, warranty claims analysis, waste control, training, and technical skills development. The Fleet Technical Advisor will uphold all quality standards, support regional Fleet Service Managers with corporate cost avoidance initiatives through identification, reporting and resolution of fleet and commercial vehicle product issues, develop service process and implementation for test units for our fleet and commercial accounts, provide administration for in-house service readiness agreements, facilities inspections, technical training and reduce overall warranty expense for in-house warranty repairs. This candidate will also assist with Quality, Engineering, Recalls, Service Bulletins follow up, support future fleet and commercial vehicle products as they launch to market and serve as a quality feedback liaison back to the corporation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of three years' experience in an Automotive Field and/or Fleet and Commercial environment
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of the retail dealership business environment
  • Strong communication, organizational, consulting, and negotiations skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with various levels of employees from hourly to executive
  • Legally authorized to work in the US and will not now, nor in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status)

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or related field 
  • ASE certification or equivalent experience training 
  • Desire and ability to relocate in time
  • Experience in presenting ideas and concepts to all levels of management
