The Commercial Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and driving sales to local small businesses through Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram dealerships with the primary focus on commercial vehicles/products. This position will cover a 200 mile territory based out of Central Connecticut. Travel will be required approximately 60% of the time. The qualified candidate will centralize their home office close to the Central Connecticut area.
The SBSS will obtain dealership advertising and market commitments, as well as manage commercial advertising co-op with the cooperation of the Regional Sales Manager. The SBSS will also prepare and present reports/metrics for dealers and the dealerships key managers, which show commercial sales, profit and opportunities. Secure dealership commitments to invest in people, process and training in all departments. This candidate will accompany dealer sales personnel at outside sales calls to local small businesses and manage operational dealer and business center contacts for issues related to commercial vehicles sales, manage and provide consultation on the dealerships inventory. Insure availability for the right commercial products to the right local users. Serve as the primary local contact for commercial pools. This candidate will incorporate pools into commercial sales processes, including facilitating dealer relationships, developing stocking and consignment programs, and enhancing visibility of appropriate work up-fit vehicles for specific market. This candidate will work with dealers at grass root trade shows, establish local truck clubs and hold quarterly meetings within region of responsibility, ensuring commercial sales are reported correctly by performing audits and correcting where appropriate.
This position requires travel within the assigned territory approximately 60% of the time. The ideal candidate will live in the assigned territory, preferably in Central Connecticut.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of OEM field sales, commercial/fleet leasing experience, or experience with the B2B sales process.
- Knowledge or experience with dealership commercial sales processes
