The Onsite Desk-Side Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing infrastructure and process support for IT manufacturing plant operations, including the implementation of corporate sponsored applications that are critical to meeting the plants SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale) objectives. The Support Specialist will support the plant in all aspects of IT including, plant floor applications, machine controls, local and wide area network administration, Microsoft Office, Active Directory and Windows level one support. The selected candidate will provide line of business support by interfacing with both plant and IT management to obtain business requirements and resolve related issues, maintain IT governance by enforcing IT standards and guidelines within the local IT infrastructure and must be able to work flexible shift as well as over-time as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years' minimum previous practical work experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Office Suite, and Windows
  • 2 years' minimum previous practical work experience providing level one support of large Ethernet networks including:
    • Switches
    • Computers
    • Printers
    • Servers
    • Wireless devices
    • Knowledge of data highway networks
  • Must be able to work flexible shift as well as over-time as needed (Shift 6:00 am 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology related field of study
  • 3 years' experience working within IT supporting in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience supporting plant floor activities, including follow up, and assisting the plant customers in resolving manufacturing problems with IT solutions
  • Computer programming skills:
    • PHP
    • SQL
  • Ability to setup and configure proprietary manufacturing support systems
  • Project Management experience
