The Industrial Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising plant industrial engineers. The person in this position will interact with management to develop hourly and salary staffing plans and lead actions to achieve productivity objectives. He/she will network daily with leadership regarding all matters relating to staffing requirements and support the development of direct/indirect labor budgets in cooperation with corporate industrial engineering teams. The Supervisor is also responsible for indirect labor studies, ergonomics studies, manpower planning, leveling and adjustments per assembly plants' production schedules as well as World Class Manufacturing (WCM) support and new program system design reviews and optimization. This position reports directly to the Plant Industrial Engineering Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field of study OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a non-technical field of study with 8+ years industrial engineering experience
  • 5+ years of industrial engineering experience in manufacturing
  • Exceptional leadership/mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated experience with time/motion studies, development of standardized work and standard data
  • Apply strong principles and analytical techniques to continuously improve the manufacturing process
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of traditional Lean manufacturing systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • MTM-UAS Blue Chip certification (or equivalent i.e. MOST or MODAPTS)
  • Experience working in a high paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience supervising engineers
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Strong problem solving skills, data collection, and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles
  • Knowledge/experience with AutoCAD
