The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) is responsible for the prevention, recognition, and treatment of on-the-job illness and injuries. This position requires skills and knowledge in patient treatment of minor medical first aid to critical health issues, patient counseling, and managing medical services to a diverse patient population. The OHN at FCA plays an important role in the delivery of nursing services in accordance with Federal and State regulations as well as corporate health service policies and procedures. The OHN promotes optimal health care and safety in the workplace in accordance with the goals and values of the profession and FCA. The OHN interacts with environmental health, safety, Labor Relations, and Human Relations staff. You must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, effectively manage medical emergencies, and often work as the single provider of patient care. For these reasons, prior nursing experience is imperative to delivering optimal nursing care in an occupational setting. This is a second shift position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan nursing license
  • Associates Degree in nursing
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support Certification

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing
  • Minimum 5 years' occupational health or emergency nursing experience
  • Advance Life Support Certification
