The Manufacturing Leadership Development Program (MLDP) develops future leaders capable of leading change and leading people. This highly selective program accepts a limited number of participants annually.
Chosen candidates build their skills and knowledge while participating in a series of short-term rotational work assignments focusing on World Class Manufacturing processes, products and services in the following areas:
  • Assembly Operations
  • Engine and Transmission Manufacturing
  • Environment
  • Health and Safety
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Material Logistics Management
  • Stamping Operations
The variety of assignments give the participants an automotive manufacturing overview while also targeting a specialty area suited to their interests and the needs of FCA's Manufacturing Organization. Concurrently, participants pursue the completion of a company-sponsored advanced degree (MBA or Technical).
Program participants receive accelerated professional development, executive sponsors and networking opportunities. Upon completion of the program, participants will be assigned to a position within the FCA Manufacturing Organization.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program, in a manufacturing related major
  • Bachelor's degree must be obtained prior to June 2018

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate (cumulative) academic GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • No pre-existing Master's degree or current enrollment in Master's Program
  • Strong leadership characteristics
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong interest in manufacturing and manufacturing operations in the automotive industry
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Previous Internship with an automotive manufacturer
  • Demonstrated knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing processes
