The Torque Security CoE & Vehicle Response Testing (VRT) Supervisor is tasked with working with technical experts in each sub area within a calibration team. The Supervisor will develop and document calibration methodology to deliver world-class calibrations efficiently.

The Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

  • Defining group vision and group goals, and define meeting agendas
  • Helping direct and prioritize CoE discussions and workload
  • Making technical decisions when the group cannot come to agreement
  • Providing technical expertise to CoE issues
  • Helping get "stuck" issues moving again
  • Assisting in the review of CoE documents, best practices, etc.
  • Knowing when to elevate an issue or when to request outside help and doing this directly, or with the Team Lead
  • Writing and coordinating support for RCNs that are resultant of CoE discussion/needs

 

The Supervisor will also be responsible for managing a team of VRT engineers supporting the following:

  • In-vehicle testing that produces deliberate hardware and software failures that could produce unintended vehicle acceleration and ensures these tests gets implemented correctly into the VRT
  • Documenting VRT testing process for gas applications
  • Validating intended software and hardware detects deliberate hardware and software failures, and does not produce unacceptable vehicle response on gas applications
  • Scheduling VRT test vehicles for gas applications
  • Documenting VRT testing plan for gas applications
  • Resolving issues during VRT testing for gas applications
  • Supporting testing group from Sci-Labs E/E Laboratories department
  • Coordinating discussion with calibration engineers to resolve VRT issues
  • Participating in the TS CoE
  • Supporting vehicle validation according to the DVP as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree
  • Minimum 8 years automotive experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 
  • Desire to perform in-vehicle test and development work in addition to analysis desk work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Science related degree
  • Deep understanding of powertrain/vehicle integration
  • Understanding of engine/transmission fundamentals
  • Understanding of powertrain calibration fundamentals
  • Understanding of test instrumentation
  • Understanding of vehicle response testing
  • INCA proficient
