The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Driver/Mechanic to join the Mileage Accumulation (MA) team at the Chelsea Proving Grounds (CPG) in Chelsea Michigan.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Install, remove, monitor test vehicles on MA Dynamometers
  • Facilities operations such as maintaining equipment
  • Attach test equipment and instrumentation to MA test vehicles and operate vehicle and Dynos under routine conditions
  • Load tests into computer system
  • Set-up and operate test equipment for Dyno operations including robotics, thermocouples and movement switches
  • Record and monitor data and observations per standard test procedures
  • Other duties as operationally required 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 ASE or state certifications
  • 2 years' experience as a Mechanic
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Must have computer experience (Windows applications)
  • Ability to work any of the three shifts of operation, including weekends and commit to long periods of consecutive work days
  • Good verbal, written, and record keeping skills
  • Positive attitude, good teamwork and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two-year Associate degree in related field
  • Dynamometer Operating experience
