The Global Inventory Planner is responsible for supporting inventory management functions related to Forecasting, Demand / Inventory Planning, Parts Ordering, Excess and Obsolescence.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting daily inventory management activities including: data collection and metrics reporting. Active involvement and collaboration with the local in country inventory planning team to improve inventory operations through continuous improvements. Some core responsibilities will include: maintaining optimal inventory levels within the prescribed inventory investment, monitor demand and forecast accuracy to optimize inventory planning, oversee reconciliations of actual vs. reported inventory levels and manage stocking policies, min/max levels of consumption to achieve targeted service levels. She/he will run a series of inventory management reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis and perform detailed analysis of items and collaborate with regional inventory management teams in APAC, LATAM, EMEA and NAFTA, establish efficient and effective methods of collecting data to monitor and measure performance of the inventory processes. The Global Inventory Planner will facilitate usage of slow moving and obsolete/excess inventory, manage forecast planning functions using standard inventory usage, forecasting analytics and demand trends, routinely review warehouse inventory levels and order appropriate quantities, analyze sales exception forecasts, determine shortages, review and notify department staff and sales department of results and handle special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory management or related field
  • Minimum 12 months of supply chain/warehousing/logistics experience
  • Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel) experience required
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Mopar supply chain process
  • Advanced application development and report creation skills (VBA, SQL, Macros) utilizing Microsoft Access, Excel and Word
  • Retrieving or modifying Supply Chain Management data found in DB2 Tables, SQL Server Tables, flat files or any other data structure that supports Supply Chain Management Knowledge of SQL Visual Basic and Easytrieve
  • Exposure to key visual techniques, proficient in data collection and analysis
