The Intermediate Application & Infrastructure (Deskside) Support Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Providing 1st level support for mission critical Stamping applications and equipment (printers, scanners) to ensure plant floor stability and drive efficiencies in Stamping plant operations
  • Working closely with Plant and IT management, central IT support, plant floor personnel and supplier partners, providing production support and overseeing day to day operations ensuring SLA's / KPI's are met
  • Monitoring overall application performance and required services that support business partners, as required
  • Ensuring IT priorities related to application sun-downing, improvements and CPU reduction are completed
  • Providing production support (respond and resolve tickets, scheduling changes)
  • Providing optimization (improves system performance, reduce downtime, reduce costs and risk- software/ hardware maintenance, validate applications after software / hardware maintenance, providing remediation when required, impact analysis for existing applications)
  • Cyclical activities (model year, year-end, plant initialization/launch, change over, disaster recovery testing and associated documentation
  • Managing Stamping plant ticket groups (pending / backlog) and application monitoring, which includes setting up of application monitors, perform daily health checks, review logs for errors

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of application support plant floor experience, including trouble shooting / root cause analysis
  • Minimum of 3 years Manufacturing environment support experience:
    • AIX, Windows systems and architectures, Office network, printers, Servers phone system
    • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn complex business processes
    • Must have the energy to deliver and hold themselves and others accountable
  • Ability to accept a continuous rotating work schedule
    • 1st shift: 6:00 am -4:00 pm
    • 2nd shift: 6:00 pm- 4:00 am

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills both oral and written
  • Previous experience working and leading a cross functional team environment and being the site SME on any given application
  • Good understanding of Drive IT and related processes
  • Strong understanding of Stamping systems and related Stamping operation processes (recipes/part numbers, opening/closing Work Orders, ASRS, Label scans/prints), a PLUS
  • Ability to interact with business partners and manage vendor interactions
  • Ability to hold themselves and others accountable in restoring services and reducing incidents
  • Strong knowledge of requirements gathering techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
