The Tax Accounting Analyst is responsible for accurately preparing/reviewing all income tax provision activities for U.S. and foreign tax jurisdictions of FCA US LLC under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. The Tax Accounting Analyst will calculate the monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision and income tax accruals for FCA US LLC subsidiaries. Prepare monthly income tax forecast for budget/business plan development (including current receivable/payable, deferred tax assets/liabilities, income tax provision, and cash flows), including consolidation with foreign entity submissions. The Analyst develops the consolidation tax rate in coordination with the Office of Tax Affairs and the profit and balance sheet Forecast teams. This position liaises with external auditors, Accounting operations, and the Office of Tax Affairs. The position is responsible for process redesign, special studies, and research projects, as applicable. He/she will coordinate the preparation and review of year-end income tax footnotes for FCA Group financial statements. The Analyst prepares work papers for and supports external auditor's quarterly review and annual audit of tax provisions and accrual. He/she reconciles FCA US LLC general ledger tax accounts on a monthly basis. This position performs annual tax return to tax accrual reconciliation for FCA US LLC and foreign entities. The Analyst assists with the following: annual reconciliation and "prove-out" the FCA US LLC and applicable foreign jurisdictions deferred tax inventory, with FCA US LLC tax-related Sarbanes Oxley documentation, quarterly reassessment of income tax accounting positions (i.e. valuation allowance, permanent reinvestment status, uncertain tax positions), completion of tax accounting centralization and software implementation, and with tax accounting considerations with respect to various company restructuring initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA, CPA, or Master's degree in Tax
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting, Tax or Finance; familiarity with ASC 740 (formerly SFAS 109) and/or IAS 12
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Willingness to learn and take a leadership role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex issues
  • Some experience with U.S. federal and state tax regulations
  • Strong communication skills
