The Systems Project Captain (SPC) for Powertrain Electrical Systems Engineering will be responsible for managing and coordinating the requirements of Powertrain systems specifications, architecture, documentation releases, requirements analysis reports, DCR's, vehicle configuration and change management. The SPC will also be responsible for leading the systems meetings and the change management process for systems specifications for Powertrain Controllers. The SPC will support meetings pertaining to, but not limited to PTEE systems issues, program reviews, vehicle integration and new engine/transmission/driveline systems development meetings.

Work will include: SPC/Coordination Compile/Tasks, SEDs (Per VF/MY Architecture), ITS's (Per Component), RARs (Generate/Review/Answer), Design Reviews (VFs/CFTSs), AFOD Reviews, Series Card Reviews, Bulletin/Study Reviews/Responses, Mule Architectures (Powertrain), Change Management (VFs, CFTSs), Document Storage (SharePoint) and Standardize Powertrain I/O

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of systems experience in electrical and/or architecture
  • Must have an understanding and/or experience in the following vehicle systems: CAN communications, electrical system controls, software change management, electrical architecture, manufacturing, validation, requirements development, requirements change management
  • Strong project management and communications skills
  • Must be a leader, able to motivate and inspire team members
  • Must be comfortable interacting with multiple groups and management levels

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
