The Supplier Capacity & Throughput (SCAT) Program Manager is responsible for monthly compilation and strategy of FCA High Risk Suppliers within NAFTA and streamlining processes globally. This position will play a key role in identifying the High-Risk suppliers to be managed by the SCAT onsite teams for resolution. This role will also compile comparison charts, supplier information sheets, hold cross functional team meetings to determine nominations of future high risk suppliers to be evaluated and additional research assignments required for strategy evaluation and additional tasks as required by the Director and/or SCAT Manager. This role will interface with many other organizations such as Purchasing, Supplier Relations, Capacity Management, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality Engineering, and Suppliers etc.

Job tasks include but not limited to the following:

  • Field emerging issues with cross-functional departments as concerns are elevated
  • Prepare Kaizens
  • Assist with SCAT Team budget management
  • Update SCAT Team Supplier Displays/Reports
  • Onsite Supplier SCAT Assessments
  • IH KPI Charts
  • PowerPoint Presentations
  • Participate on Special Event/Process Teams, as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. A Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered
  • A minimum of seven years of work experience in Supplier Quality, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 20% within the NAFTA region
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a Master's in Business Administration
  • Green Belt or Black Belt skills (Red X/Shainin)
  • Quality certification
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Creative problem solving ability and a results orientation
  • Comfortable with complex technical analysis
