FCA is seeking a Vehicle Emissions Certification Manager to work at our FCA US Headquarters and Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. This Vehicle Emissions Certification Manager position oversees, organizes and processes official diesel emissions certification data and coordinates all In-use testing programs for all FCA domestically sold vehicles. The certification documents collected support the issuance of EPA's certificate of compliance and the California Air Resource Boards (CARB's) executive order, which are required before vehicles may enter commerce. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordinating vehicle emissions testing and data collection to support tailpipe emissions compliance, work with P/T development and product teams, and support running change actions which effect vehicle emissions. The Emissions Certification Manager also is an internal source of regulatory emissions support by providing interpretation and strategic guidance to FCA's engine calibration community and its management. Travel to Chelsea Proving Grounds will be required of regulatory emissions support by providing interpretation and strategic guidance to FCA's engine calibration community and its management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or other Technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years Product Development experience
  • Experience leading training initiatives and able to teach/speak to groups
  • Time management and task tracking skills
  • Ability to speak technically and in simpler terms
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Need to be comfortable with both short and long term project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science or other Technical discipline
  • Emissions related background/experience
  • Experience with code or federal regulation in mobile/vehicle emissions and fuel economy testing
  • Lab experience
  • Vehicle testing background - Chassis Dyno testing and an understanding of coast down testing
  • Negotiation skills
