The Supplier Quality Program Manager- IRF is responsible for all future and carryover vehicle related programs that are manufactured at an FCA affiliate facility located outside of the NAFTA region. The Program Manager- IRF is responsible for ensuring key quality milestones/goals are met for all supplier components involved. The Program Manager- IRF will manage all aspects of the Advanced Supplier Quality functions as it pertains to FCA affiliate vehicle projects. This individual will work cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Purchasing through the full life cycle of components from early development, sourcing, launch phase and into production.

At all times, the Program Manager- IRF is considered the main point of contact for FCA affiliate plants for any concerns regarding the quality of parts coming from our NAFTA-based suppliers. The Program Manager- IRF will work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure non-conforming parts are handled properly and follow the FCA procedures and guidelines.

Within our Program Manager roles we are seeking skilled engineers who are able to develop, present, and explain program status updates to senior leadership, manage multiple individual work teams, work globally, and have clear communication. 

Job responsibilities for a Program Manager may include, but are not limited to any of the following:

  • Manage Supplier Quality activities for NAFTA purchased parts
  • Work with suppliers and affiliate plant personnel to manage the containment and root cause analysis studies being coordinated at the affiliate manufacturing facility
  • Educating plant staff on FCA Supplier Quality systems and requirements
  • Manage Supplier Quality program reporting requirements for program reviews
  • Manage program risk assessment updates
  • Manage the production part approval process (PPAP) for running changes as needed on current production programs
  • Facilitate safe launch strategies and problem resolution reviews
  • Facilitate early sourcing process and supplier selection

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA. A bachelor's degree in
    Aerospace/Aeronautical, Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered.
  • 4.5+ years of work experience in Supplier Quality, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 40% within the NAFTA region
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or a Master's in Business Administration
  • Green Belt or Black Belt skills (Red X/Shainin)
  • Quality certification
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Creative problem solving ability and a results orientation
  • Comfortable with complex technical analysis
