The Electrical Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of Supplier Quality function. The Engineer will lead and manage all advance quality planning activities within his/her assigned commodity area. Provide leadership and support for all supplier related continuous improvement activities including FCA Assembly Plant as well as customer warranty issues. Work cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure proper designs, suppliers, and manufacturing processes are selected. Drive change within both plant manufacturing and component suppliers to resolve component issues. Ensure component suppliers' processes are robust and capable. Manage key component quality milestones. Lead problem solving activities with internal and external organizations. Manage warranty with suppliers; ensuring lessons learned are applied across programs. Participate as an active member of commodity strategy teams in selecting the best partners for quality, technology and cost.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university. Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered
  • 4.5+ years of work experience in Supplier Quality, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 40% within the NAFTA region
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Quality certification
  • Green Belt or Black Belt skills (Red X/Shainin)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Creative problem solving ability and results orientation
  • Comfortable with complex technical analysis
