The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Reliability Engineer - Transmission and Driveline Diagnostic Systems and Shift Quality to join the Quality team at the FCA US Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The Reliability Engineer - Transmission and Driveline Diagnostic Systems and Shift Quality is responsible for developing and executing reliability test programs for Trans and Driveline Diagnostics Systems as well as Shift Quality systems.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the Diagnostic and Shift Quality Scorecard for transmission and driveline projects
  • Assist in development of automated shift quality triggers
  • Support engineering in root cause analysis of development issues linked to the Scorecard results
  • Assist in revisions to test schedules
  • Present reliability key process indicator assessments to management
  • Complete special projects and initiatives as needed
  • Ensure reliability risks and issues have a clear path to resolution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Critical and analytical thinking ability
  • System Level Thinking - The ability to understand how the different components and systems are interdependent with a vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years engineering experience with transmission diagnostics system or transmission shift quality testing
  • Design for Six Sigma or Robust Engineering certification
  • CRE from ASQ
  • CQE from ASQ
