The Electrical Quality Systems Engineer will be responsible for the resolution and prevention of electrical quality issues including warranty, JD Powers and Consumer Reports. This position is within Product Development focused on electrical systems and components. The Engineer will work with managers and senior management to achieve quality improvement goals. The key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams in the root cause, containment, corrective action and service action for quality/warranty issues. The Engineer is responsible for prioritizing warranty data to ensure the team is focused on the top items and bridge communication between engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality and purchasing to ensure the correct expertise is engaged in the resolution process. The candidate will gain electrical component experience along with exposure throughout the electrical engineering organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical/Materials/Chemical/Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university; other technical degrees considered when combined with substantial Quality experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing, or quality
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on electrical systems
  • Proven problem solving experience leading projects
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Ability to engage and motivate team members
  • Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Reactive Shainin Green/Black Belt certification
  • Proactive DFSS Green/Black Belt certification
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis
