The Project Responsible (PR) position is responsible for the Body, Interior, Safety and Restraints development of all SRT vehicles (currently 8 models). The Project Responsible is responsible for achieving functional objectives while optimizing quality, performance, cost, weight, investment, and timing and compliance objectives to target. This position also has Design Responsible (DR) responsibilities and will lead a team of 25 engineers for design practices, DFMEA, DVPR, component and system design, and validation aspects of development. This individual will deliver all components and systems on time to vehicle timelines. The candidate will also develop cross-functional relationships with Advance and BICEE teams to deliver common goals and will develop the SRT Body/Interior team providing adequate training and global resource alignment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of Body or Interior component and system experience
  • Passion for Performance Vehicles and Motorsports activities
  • Experience in managing Cost Weight and Investment (CWI), quality and functional performances through the entire vehicle development and launch cycle
  • Experience with functional objectives and enablers to achieve them
  • Previous interface with Product Design Office (PDO), manufacturing, quality, and purchasing organizations
  • DFMEA, DVP&R and component and system design and validation
  • TeamCenter and NX basic knowledge (pull up parts and perform design reviews)

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) certification
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated accountability in meeting program deliverables
  • Experience with low volume tooling and company's metrology process
