The Project Chief (PC) for the Interior HVAC and Electromechanical group will manage the development of systems and components for vehicle program(s) according to functional, quality, time and cost objectives. The PC will lead and direct Engineers to meet product deliverables. The PC ensures compliance with technical requirements and supports the Project Responsible with vehicle line specific activity. The Project Chief works with Design Responsible teams to ensure all applicable vehicle program deliverables are met. The (PC) for the Interior will also be responsible for target setting and tracking (cost loops), change management process, program timing deliverables, test planning, issues resolution. The selected candidate will be reporting to management at all levels, responsible Interior Product development commitments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent)
  • 8 years of automotive system and component design and release experience
  • 3 years of HVAC/Electromechanical product engineering experience
  • Demonstrated communication skills across functional teams and levels
  • Demonstrated project management skills/experience
  • Knowledgeable in development of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
  • Experience with lean product development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MSME/MSEE degree from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent)
  • Powertrain Cooling or Aero/Thermal Development experience
  • Hands on experience and knowledge of tooling
  • Knowledge in CAD/NX
  • Knowledge of GDT
  • Knowledge of DFSS
  • Knowledge of Shanin Red X or other reactive quality tools
  • Knowledge of EE development Process
  • Demonstrated self-Starter with ability to lead and direct a cross-functional teams
