The Professional Maintenance (PM) Pillar Specialist is responsible for leading the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) PM Pillar Methodology across Manufacturing's Stamping facilities. The PM Pillar Specialist will drive PM Pillar activities and initiatives on the WCM Central Team designed to create knowledge, leadership and expansion of WCM methodology. This position coaches and guides plant employees on the proper method and use of tools in order to eliminate waste and losses plus focuses on the prioritized PM losses within Manufacturing in order to increase throughput. Knowledge of other Pillars such as FI, CD, SF, AM and PD will be required to execute plant projects and kaizen activities with shop floor personnel in order to realize saving efforts. This will be achieved with the knowledge of the above pillars and the ability to train others in the proper method. The PM Pillar Specialist creates pillar standard documents, processes and implements best practices across all plants, supports the development of Central Team certified Pillar specialists and the assignment of specialist activities that will drive the expansion of knowledge and pillar activities. The Specialist will guide and direct plant PM Pillar Leads for plant reviews, audit preparation and Kaizen journal activities. The person in this role provides direction to plant PM Pillar Leads for route map expansion, pillar score and succession development, implementation projects through the advanced knowledge of WCM tools as well as drives implementation through methodology using the 7- step Pillar approach and demonstrates verifiable results. The Specialist will work with global counterparts from each of the regions to establish global pillar standards and expand knowledge through the creation of course content at the World Class Manufacturing Academy (WCMA). Additionally, the Specialist will conduct workshops, benchmarking trips and provide training to plants plus effectively measure results tied to activities that eliminate the plant's waste and losses.
