The Production Readiness Coordinator is responsible for providing plant support and tracking launch status to meet division goal attainment while working towards integration of PPAP and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology. The Coordinator will perform in-plant testing of new model equipment installation and evaluate line processes to report out on testing. The person in this position will use PPAP/AQP methodology to track critical manufacturing processes and ensure the Early Equipment Management (EEM) Front Loading process is used to improve future launches. In addition, he or she will assist in performing PPA audits, analyze and report out results, as well as perform studies on the plant floor in corporation with Production personnel to resolve new model issues as needed. The Production Readiness Coordinator will assist with launch of metrics and issues tracking database in concert with plants, IT and launch teams to insure the database meets the needs of stakeholders. The Coordinator supports other launch team members and activities as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing processes and Lean manufacturing methodology
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to create and present reports to all levels of management
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and strong team building skills
  • Available to travel in support of NAFTA plant launches as needed 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Exposure to PPA/PPAP/AQP systems
  • Stamping and engineering experience
  • Quality audit/testing experience and understanding of KPI's
  • Statistical analytical skillset
