The Program Manager is responsible for leading the purchasing program management activities and the sourcing functions for vehicle programs as they prepare for launch and extend through the life of the program. This position will support the production buyers on purchasing responsibilities for the program and will work closely with cross functional teams including Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Management, Finance, VCE, SCIE, Manufacturing, and suppliers, and act as the liaison between Purchasing and the cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Ensuring purchasing requirements and metrics are met at all program milestones by: removing roadblocks, aligning to the program variable and investment targets for purchased components, assessing program capacities, communicating the vehicle program needs so the team can properly support the program, and providing purchasing's input throughout the various milestones of the development cycle (sourcing, launch readiness, post launch supplier issues/recognitions, etc.) to ensure a successful program.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship or equivalent from an AACSB accredited program (Engineering or other technical degrees with business or program management background will be considered)
  • 7 years of experience with at least 3 years in purchasing or business management
  • Self-motivated/sense of ownership
  • Strong communication and customer focus
  • Organized and possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt
  • Advanced skills in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing activities
  • Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills
  • Demonstration of strong, positive interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and issue resolution
  • Results oriented, capable of managing conflict and resourceful managing complex assignments
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Global mindset
