Powertrain Electrical Product Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing a product/product family. He/she will ensure production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel. The Engineer will test finished product for quality purposes and recommend changes to product specifications as necessary. He/she will integrate, validate and release electronic powertrain controllers into automotive electrical systems which include managing hardware, software and calibration design levels to meet customer expectations for a particular design phase.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or other related engineering degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience preferably in electrical systems design and development. An advanced degree and/or academic research in a related field may count towards experience requirement
  • Ability to work in a fast paced multi-tasking environment and during non-traditional work hours on rare occasions
  • Previous experience must demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Individual should be able to improvise and adapt to changing priorities while working independently or in conjunction with fellow team members
  • Basic electrical knowledge with the ability to navigate electrical schematics and utilize digital volt ohmmeters / oscilloscopes for troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems
  • Basic understanding of electronic management systems for powertrain systems as well as the fundamentals of internal combustion engine operation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CAN communication bus protocol
