The Platform Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of all driveline related activities. This position operates in conjunction with the extended Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing Teams certifying our drivelines meet all functional objectives while surpassing the expectations of the customer. The individual will interface significantly with all levels of the Powertrain extended team. In addition, the candidate will communicate regularly with Vice Presidents, develop and present program status updates, and articulate open issues to Senior Leadership. The Platform Manager will also manage in-plant launch support and collaborate with the Design and Manufacturing Teams during each build phase to ensure the drivelines are prepared for each vehicle line. The Platform Manager will be the single point contact for all driveline activities and effectively manage all aspects of the Platform Team. She/he will be a part of platform team meetings, facilitate key supplier reviews and manage quality and cost reduction activities. The candidate will interface with purchasing, supplier quality, plant launch readiness, product engineering and plant manufacturing. The platform manager will present findings to senior leadership as well as working collectively with the chief engineers for the overall program delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum ten years work experience within Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Highly proficient in written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Creative problem solving ability and a results orientation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree related to Engineering/Manufacturing from an accredited university
  • Green Belt or Black Belt skills (Red X/Shainin) 
  • Quality Certification 
  • Program Management Certification
