The Outbound Logistics Analyst is responsible for the daily operational activities for finished vehicle transportation including authorization and analysis of special authorization moves, yard management costs, outbound launch costs and delivery plan, network improvements and plant facilities/off-site yard vehicle management. The Outbound Analyst acts as the liaison between the outbound logistics department, fleet, brand, business centers, transportation providers and other FCA Supply Chain Management departments.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage a process to manage aging at off-site storage facilities
  • Develop new network processes that improve vehicle flow from origin plants and off-site yards to final destinations
  • Manage new model launches that pertain to vehicle movement from origin to final destinations
  • Provide analysis to support the development and criteria for OBT budget standards
  • Support development and implementation of all vehicle network management vehicle movement elements for Vehicle Logistics Outbound Systems
  • Manage all aspects of Finished Vehicle Transportation operations at assembly plants and/or destination ramps
  • Monitor performance of multiple operations managers and service providers to ensure delivery performance
  • Responsible for all aspects of vehicle transportation, from final assembly through delivery through final dealer
  • Create cost savings initiatives by optimizing the transportation network
  • Serve as the liaison between Logistics and Fleet and the Business Centers, working collaboratively to manage special requests and initiatives
  • Develop processes with Order Management to manage total order-to-delivery time

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on supply chain management, operations management or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain management, operations management or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 
  • Strong Excel skills needed 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated change leadership attributes
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An advanced degree
