What you'll do: The Model Controller has complete program financial control responsibility for 1 to 2 vehicles. The key responsibilities include: Financial business case consolidation, net present value analysis and cost/investment reporting and tracking. The candidate is also responsible for: (a) communicating the program financial position to senior management and other functional operating teams; (b) compiling vehicle margin inputs including revenue, variable and fixed cost, volumes and corresponding investment to ensure proper business case development and profitability reporting; (c) developing and maintaining program financial control reporting and standardization practices, (d) developing ad-hoc reporting/special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business; if no Bachelor's degree in the aforementioned, a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Accounting is highly desired
  • Minimum of five (5) years of finance experience required; at least two (2) years in one or more of the following areas highly desired: budget and forecasting, capital expenditure investment, comparative financial analysis, financial trend analysis, application of accounting principles, program management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience developing financial presentations for senior management review
  • Demonstrated ability in increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with international and cross-functional teams
  • High level of enthusiasm and creativity
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt easily to change, including prioritization of assignments
  • Good presentation skills
  • Financial experience in the automotive industry
  • Results-oriented and must possess the ability to plan, develop, implement and measure results
  • Work well on broad based and diverse teams, both as a team member and team lead
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a self-starter
