Medical Operations & Compliance Lead - Occupational Health Job, Auburn Hills, MI

The Medical Operations and Compliance Lead will develop, implement and coordinate the occupational health strategy for NAFTA medical operations, establish standards of care for the delivery of on-site occupational health services that comply with company policy, federal or regional legislation, and professional standards and manage annual budget for US medical operations, coordinate all occupational health- related vendor contracts, and establish appropriate service level agreements. The selected candidate will implement and support internal processes to ensure compliance with OSHA Recordkeeping Standards, direct the health assessment program for executives and employees on international business travel or foreign assignment and serve as company medical advisor and expert for matters related to occupational health and preventive medicine. He/she will collaborate with vendor to ensure medical practitioners placed at FCA facilities comply with applicable corporate standards and government regulations as well as participate in national and local union contract negotiations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Medical degree or advanced degree in nursing with an active license to practice
  • At least 10 years of occupational health experience in manufacturing
  • Previous experience in a leadership role managing medical services and programs
  • Current board certification in occupational health

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact and articulate decisions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Good business knowledge and acumen
  • Strong understanding of occupational health regulations
