Maintenance Central Planning Lead - General Assembly Job, Auburn Hills, MI

The Maintenance Central Planning Lead will develop and implement Standard Maintenance Procedures for General Assembly by equipment types and machine classification. This position is tasked with Total Maintenance System (TMS) PM optimization & rationalization based on scope, frequency, cycle, & duration including the following responsibilities:

  • Moving Static PM's to Dynamic
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) AM/PM calendar optimization
  • Support the Transition to Operator and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)Technical training and skill development for assembly plant maintenance personnel
  • Systemic failures trending and technical service bulletin read across both within BIW and across all centers/plants
  • EWO analysis focusing on the 6 types of root cause: lack of maintenance, lack of basic conditions, failure to observe operating condition, weak components, design weakness and warranty repair tracking and trending by equipment type
  • Develop and implement the supplier NOC standardized scope of work in concert with the plants
  • Standardize shutdown maintenance planning and tracking
  • Benchmarking including best practice sharing across the regions
  • Maintenance audit compliance and follow up
  • Link to EEM and new equipment launch including LCC measurement and tracking

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 3+ years of experience with standard maintenance procedures for general assembly (e.g. tooling, ceiling, conveyors, glass, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the Lean manufacturing for maintenance
  • Ability to travel and work weekends/holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or other related technical field
  • 5+ years of direct maintenance and managerial experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Pillar / Technical Pillar Lead
