The Lead Database Marketing Analyst will develop strategic marketing alliance for data initiatives, performing analysis in the areas of service and market penetration, demographics, variances and trends; collaborate with department manager(s) to develop standard and customized summaries and gather data from various sources to establish and maintain the marketing department's reporting; consolidate information into database; incorporate strategic initiatives in marketing database, analyze data for forecasting and long-range planning and make recommendations. The Analyst will develop analytical support on a strategic level and manage projects for a wide variety of departmental programs and initiatives. He/she will work closely with the information technology department to cohesively approach strategic data initiatives and projects as well as support day-to-day CRM marketing efforts.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain ROI/metrics dashboards linked to financial drivers of business
  • Work in collaboration with marketing agencies to set up experiments, select and define key performance indicators for control and test cells
  • Prepare informative and well-organized presentations showcasing insights and recommendations supported by data
  • Outline business requirements for reports and data pulls
  • Proactively identify opportunities for data exploration and analysis
  • Develop and manage marketing campaigns for customer acquisition and retention using the marketing database and tools
  • Prepare reports, including charts and graphs
  • May give presentations to senior management, including information on business climate while ensuring accuracy of reports
  • Oversee and evaluate the daily operation and work flow of marketing analysis
  • Develop automated marketing programs complete with analysis, reporting and trending 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Operations Research, Applied Math/Statistics, Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in database marketing, customer analytics, data mining and/or statistics
  • Familiarity with CRM databases, data feed and structures, and marketing technologies (i.e. Merkle, Exact Target, Unica)
  • Ability to analyze needs, develop project plans, question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based upon data
  • Must be confident in communicating effectively to all levels of team members including senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
  • 2 years of increasingly responsible service and/or automotive experience
  • Knowledge of relational database technology and data mining analytical applications
  • Experience with tools such as Excel, SQL, SPSS, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of application software development
