The Labor Relations Manufacturing Lead -- Salaried Bargaining Unit is responsible for developing, implementing and leading labor relations strategies and solutions in unionized manufacturing and office environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills, the ability to promote and grow effective business relationships with customers at all levels of the organization and leverage those relationships to deliver operational results. This role will work collaboratively with union officials at all levels. The Labor Relations Manufacturing Lead will negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements, provide guidance and counsel on labor contract and HR policies, and ensure consistent application of agreement. This role will be responsible for grievance procedure, play a highly strategic role in the upcoming 2019 local/national negotiations, and lead continuous improvement efforts to support operational strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources-related discipline
  • 5 years of experience working in labor relations and implementing collective bargaining agreements
  • Experience working in a labor relations capacity at union represented manufacturing facility
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree with concentration in HR or Industrial Relations
  • Exposure to collective bargaining is an asset
