The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented International Warranty & Reliability Lead to join the Quality team at the Chrysler QEC Facility in Auburn Hills, MI. The International Warranty & Reliability Lead is responsible to facilitate and lead quality teams to assist with issue identification and corrective actions of field failures identified through the analysis process. Manage warranty return field failures and coordinate identified material for shipment to appropriate regions for processing and tracking of quality issues. The candidate must have proven track record for developing and executing standardization of manufacturing Quality enablers. The International Warranty & Reliability Lead must be a creative problem solver, proactive and steadfast in the identification and resolution vehicle quality. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate must be high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions -- a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify new emerging field issues by analyzing warranty returned material and data to understand failure modes and effects
  • Manage all part return material activities (Domestic and International) for the all imports vehicles to ensure returned material is utilized to assist with Corporate Quality initiatives
  • Utilize corporate data reporting systems to capture quality spills and to ensure clean points are in place
  • Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership
  • Establish partnerships both internally and externally and to influence without direct authority
  • Commitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the region(s)
  • Represent the "Voice of the Customer" to the platform teams
  • Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements
  • Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
  • Managed day-to-day activities of assigned UAW personnel
  • Must possess strong communication & presentation skills
  • Must have good technical and analytical problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to challenge teams on all aspects of quality
  • Coordination of material flow (logistics)
  • Work with NAFTA suppliers for root cause determination
  • Project and process development skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science or higher in Engineering or a related technical degree (Business Technical or dual degree is acceptable I.E.: Major in BA with a minor in Automotive / Technology or Engineering Technology)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive (quality/service/engineering)
  • Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Self-directed and team oriented with demonstrated planning/problem solving skills
  • Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International skills to assist with globalization projects
  • High PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Fluent with Italian language
  • Experience within a union environment helpful
  • Working knowledge of FCA data system helpful
