The International Emissions Homologation Manager oversees the team which organizes and processes official emissions certification/fuel economy data and applications for all FCA domestically engineered vehicles that are sold Internationally; certification documents collected support the issuance of various country Homologation approvals to sell in those markets. Responsibilities include but not limited to, serving as the certification and testing liaison between FCA and the agencies by producing supporting work products and the coordination and communication of the documents; internal source of regulatory emissions support by providing interpretation and strategic guidance to FCA's Powertrain calibration community and its vehicle integration management; supervision of the team of emission Homologation specialists and primary responsibility of the team's Homologation Compliance Process/Compliance reports as part of the whole vehicle Homologation team. Some travel to Chelsea Proving Grounds will be required for regulatory emissions support by providing interpretation and strategic guidance to FCA's engine calibration community and its management.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or other technical disciplines
  • 5 years of experience in a product/powertrain development or laboratory role
  • Time management and task tracking skills
  • Ability to speak technically and in simpler terms and deal with foreign speaking counterparts
  • Experience leading training initiatives and able to teach/speak to groups
  • Experience supervising a small group - at local and remote location
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Need to be comfortable with both short and long term project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Emissions related background/experience
  • Experience with regulations in mobile/vehicle emissions and fuel economy testing is highly
  • Negotiation skills are a plus
  • Lab experience
  • Vehicle testing background - chassis dyno testing and an understanding of coast down testing is a bonus
