The Integrity Responsible (IR) Engineer will be responsible for checking all components in a vehicle's interior to confirm they meet functional objectives, build objectives, design practices and tooling requirements. Additionally, the Integrity Responsible Engineer will confirm data integrity with regards to part alignment, interferences, draft, and wall thickness. The selected candidate will be working with NX TeamCenter and Moldflow software. The IR Engineer will be responsible to track, categorize, and help resolve nonconformance issues related to design practices, functional objectives, build objectives, and risk assessments (DFMEA) of interior components. The Engineer will present all results and findings to management at various points through the vehicle's program timing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Automotive Product Design and Development Engineering, with experience in automotive interior components and systems, such as Instrument Panels or Hard and Soft Trim and Seats
  • Knowledgeable with Unigraphics NX solids software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university (or equivalent)
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
  • Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Mold Flow Analysis
