Human Resources Business Partner - Finance Job, Auburn Hills, MI

The Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic and hands-on role that interacts daily with all levels of the organization in providing full cycle Human Resources support. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives; excelling in customer support; providing coaching/mentoring to management and employees; driving HR functional excellence / process improvement; and partnering with our HR Centers of Excellence groups.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field
  • Broad HR technical expertise and systems knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in human resources positions
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and social media applications (for recruiting)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish effective relationships, collaborate, lead and influence
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results for multiple stakeholders
  • Customer focus - demonstrated ability to exceed customer expectations and deliver on commitments
  • Change advocacy/consulting skills - effective in implementing change within role, seeks to learn and implement best practices
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for formulating context, identifying patterns, developing insights and implications, and delivering

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field
  • Act as thinking partner/coach for business leadership on various HR issues and processes impacting the strategic and long range business plans
  • Ability to collaborate with shared services organization, centers of excellence and other HR business partner groups
  • Ability to think globally and strategically
  • Ability to analyze data and rationalize to decisions that add value to the business
  • Ensure processes are consistent while maintaining client relationships through understanding their strategies and business operations
  • Strong networking and collaborative skills
  • Excellent judgment
  • Ability to determine priorities based upon HR and business needs
