The Regulatory/Homologation Systems Specialist is a global regulatory engineering expert that has technical regulatory knowledge in the following: radio frequencies and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). The selected candidate will be the global subject matter expert for NAFTA regulations and possess working knowledge of the rest of world regulations related to their subjects. Using that knowledge, the selected candidate will work directly with engineers/suppliers from all the platforms to coordinate activities needed to support the testing and documentation necessary for type approval or self-certification. The Specialist would also be responsible for regulatory development, interpretation, teaching, and government interface/negotiation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of homologation/regulatory, or automotive related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Detail oriented with the ability to produce timely, accurate, and concise work products
  • Can understand and manage complex interactions (product, processes, and people)
  • Strong leadership, decision making, and problem solving skills
  • Self-directed with ability to be flexible regarding evolving priorities
  • International perspectives and global awareness
  • Program management experience
