Global Architecture Planning Leader is responsible for financial planning for the global design organization and capacity planning for new technology and planning, including program/project management services. The selected candidate will be responsible for creation and communication of technology road maps, governance of global standards and consistency of technical direction. Ensures focus on architecture compliance and establishes priorities for design activities to balance current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organization. Leadership objectives include developing a "business-centric" environment, facilitating a philosophy of constant improvement both in service delivery and staff skills; enhancing staff coordination and interaction with other units within Global Operations and the ICT Organization; participating in leadership meetings and major departmental decisions; and fostering collaborative teamwork, responsibility and accountability within the team. Is expected to emphasize a model of leadership, where decision-making and accountability at the level where the work is done is encouraged and the development of a service culture and team performance is rewarded. Must facilitate the development of effective technical and people skills that will enable the staff to assume new responsibilities, and to keep pace with and anticipate the changing technology requirements of the business.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology/science related field
  • 10 plus years' experience in a senior manager's role
  • 10 plus years practical management experience in the following:
    • Global Architecture Planning organization
    • Infrastructure Capacity Planning
    • Information Technology introduction and standards processes
    • Portfolio Management process
    • IT Strategic Technology Roadmap
    • Global Design budget and forecast

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Automotive Industry experience
