Feature Integration Manager - Electrical Architecture Job, Auburn Hills, MI

The EE Feature Integration Manager (FIM) will be responsible for managing progress of new EE Features and quality improvements. The FIM will author directional P&C bulletins as necessary to communicate the corporate direction regarding the new features and quality improvements. He/She will coordinate the necessary items required to be completed prior to implementation of the new features and quality improvements. The FIM will maintain the status of the deliverables regarding each feature and communicate that information to EE Leadership, HMI, Vehicle Integration, and Feature Planning. The FIM will escalate issues and roadblocks promptly and drive issue resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required from an ABET accredited university; other degrees, in combination with relevant engineering experience, may also be considered
  • Minimum of ten years of architecture electrical engineering experience with more than two years in a leadership role
  • Experience in part engineering and releasing, change notices, and assembly plant pilot/launch/production processes
  • Experience with the total life-cycle of the vehicle engineering process from concept through launch phase

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Master of Business Administration degree
  • Green/Black Belt certification in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
  • Ability to develop and analyze business cases and present recommendations to senior management
  • Strong leadership skills to help manage and lead individuals and teams that are not direct reports
  • Strong time management, planning, and follow up skills
  • Superior written and oral skills
  • Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process (SCIE or VCE)
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks
  • Program life cycle experience
  • Experience as a Resident/Quality Engineer at one or more manufacturing plants
  • Knowledge of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) process
