The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Electrical Quality Engineer to join the Quality team at the FCA QEC Facility in Auburn Hills, MI. The Electrical Quality Engineer is responsible for vehicle electrical systems and wiring.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist team in root cause analysis and issue resolution for electrical issues on vehicles, systems and/or components
  • Recommend containment, and permanent corrective actions for identified issues
  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure issues are understood and resolved
  • Facilitate cross functional teams to determine necessary actions to resolve issues
  • Travel to FCA assembly plants, suppliers and/or dealerships to assist in issue resolution may be required


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (other 4-year engineering degrees with relevant experience may be considered)
  • 5 years electrical engineering experience
  • Automotive wiring systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Wiring Systems design
  • Wiring manufacturing process knowledge/experience
  • Reactive Green Belt or Reactive Black Belt training
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and program management skills
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority
  • Demonstrates initiative with the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Possesses competent computer skills (MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Communicates effectively at all levels
  • Disciplined problem solving skills
