EE Components Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and integrating EE wireless components/systems, leading the development of wireless technical solutions for multiple complex systems and components and meeting all functional and business objectives to ensure technical integrity, as well as, standardization of design, process and validation across multiple product lines. Some of the systems include keyless entry systems, key fobs and tire pressure monitoring systems. The selected candidate will lead the team and be responsible for critical interfaces to other teams including Product Design Office, Vehicle Integration, EE Validation and Advance packaging. The selected candidate will guide Engineers through an entire product creation process from product approval through post launch activities, including development of Function Models, DMFEA's, DVP&R, Design Practices and the Supplier Development / Selection Process. Leadership responsibilities also include employee development, process institutionalization, performance management, supplier management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • 10 years of automotive product development experience
  • 8 years leadership experience of professional engineers
  • Knowledge of Electrical Engineering Development Process
  • Problem solving and DFSS experience
  • Knowledgeable in development of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
  • Self-Starter with ability to lead and direct cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • NX, TeamCenter, FCA business system experience
  • Experience with design, release and/or manufacturing of automotive components
