The Development Lead for Chassis Controls Integration will be responsible for leading the systems level direction of EBC Functional Integration, Torque Vectoring Integration, Active Damping Calibration, and Active Roll Control Engineers. The Development Lead will author and direct EBC system level DVP&R while interfacing with the indirect reporting engineering staff to ensure EE systems and developed synergies in all VF requirements across all module interactions. The candidate will lead direction for low and high mu development with the selected EBC supplier. Review and assist in overseeing all EBC program milestones, regulatory requirements, and successful launches. Lead chassis functional teams and suppliers to develop a seamless chassis controls system level interactions implemented on new vehicles. Be the focal point of all interactions between the various chassis controls systems and EMEA software/hardware support.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • A minimum 10 years engineering experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of automotive testing and validation experience
  • Experience in CDA, electrical diagnostics, CANalyzer, and CAN communication
  • Vehicle Dynamics, Chassis, Brakes and/or Electrical integration experience
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and capable of leading engineers while working with multiple teams
  • Must be capable of driving vehicles at, or above the limit of handling
  • CDL or chauffeurs license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • A minimum of 7 years of ESC calibration experience
  • Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) simulation experience
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills, CAN networking experience, and a good grasp of Microsoft Office Tool Suite
  • DFSS Green Belt certification
