The Design Responsible for PASD Systems, Architecture, Components and Tools will lead a team consisting of approximately FCA (35 people) and Supplier Engineers (45 people) that is responsible for defining wiring complexity, establishing wiring architecture (optimize wire routing to meet resistance and wiring specifications), developing / releasing / testing new wiring components (connectors, terminals, grommets, ... both low and high voltage ) for all device engineers to incorporate, assists in root cause of vehicle issues, provides all wiring standards/processes/core documents (DVP, DFMEA, CS.00050, ...), and leads harmonization activities with EMEA.

Leadership responsibilities also include employee development, process institutionalization, performance management, and supplier management.


Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum of 20 years of product development experience and leadership experience in Electrical Systems
  • Knowledge of EE Development Process
  • Problem solving and DFSS experience
  • Knowledgeable in development of DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
  • Self-Starter with ability to lead and direct a cross-functional team 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum of 20 years of product development experience and leadership experience in Electrical Systems
  • NX, TeamCenter, FCA business system experience
  • Hands on experience with wiring architecture / systems, design, release and manufacturing of automotive components
