The Design Responsible (DR) - Electrical - Design Integrity has responsibility for the SBU Design teams for the electrical systems unit. The responsibilities include managing the Design Supervisors and Designers and ensuring on time, robust geometry release. Design Integrity - DR is to drive issue resolution prior to step releases, interrogate / validate geometry and present open issues in the UR design review. The Design Integrity DR works with the Project Responsible, DI team and releasing organizations to ensure all geometry releasing is completed with integrity to the corporate timing. The selected candidate will also lead the SBU design team and be responsible for forecasting design activity, incorporating design practices/lessoned learned and manufacturing/supplier requirements into product geometry and deliver on time release of NX models in TeamCenter.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive design, development and releasing
  • Experience in product launch
  • Significant experience with TeamCenter and NX

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Strong communication skills with all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to lead engineers and designers through the product development process
  • Understanding of FCA corporate systems and tools?
