The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented DFSS Master Black Belt Implementation Manager to join the Quality team at the FCA US Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The DFSS Master Black Belt Implementation Manager is responsible for developing a team of DFSS Black Belts and DFSS Implementation Specialists (DIS) to work with the Powertrain staff on the deployment of DFSS. The DFSS Master Black Belt will coach and mentor project leaders, sponsors, team members and FCA management on all aspects of the DFSS methodology and application.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
  • Serve as a coach and a mentor, teaching new candidates proactive methodologies in classroom and laboratory settings
  • Communicate and educate expectations of standard key tools and methodologies

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an (ABET) accredited university
  • Industry recognized DFSS Certified Master Black Belt with at least 10 years of experience in project leading and coaching
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of House of Quality, Taguchi methods, Axiomatic Design, IDDOV (or IDD or IOV or similar)
  • Robust Assessment, Signal-to-Noise, Non-dynamic, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive experience
  • Proven track record of leadership
